Summit Credit Union is a credit union industry leader in political advocacy. We work with credit union industry organizations to promote credit union friendly legislation on behalf of our members and the interests of the more than 2.4 million Wisconsin credit union members who want to retain the right to belong to a not-for-profit, member-owned financial cooperative that returns earnings to members.
By cultivating pro-credit union relationships and pro-actively telling the credit union story with regulators, legislators and other community and industry leaders, we increase understanding of and appreciation for the Credit Union Difference. This, in turn, helps credit unions:
March 12, 2015, Nearly 5,000 credit union leaders from throughout the U.S. meet with members of Congress during CUNA's 2015 Governmental Affairs Conference.
January 21, 2015, Summit Credit Union employees along with 220 fellow credit union Activists from 52 credit unions gathered in Madison for the 2015 State Government Affairs Conference in January, 2015.
September 15, 2014, Summit Credit Union joined more than 30 Wisconsin Activists in Washington, D.C. to advocate for members at annual Hike the Hill event.
