Health/Dental Plan
Summit Credit Union (SCU) provides employees with comprehensive insurance plans that offer among the highest level of benefits available in our market.

Flexible Spending Account
Through the FLEX program, employees can pay for dependent care and health care expenses tax-free.

Life Insurance/AD&D
Summit pays term life insurance premiums to provide coverage for eligible employees. Life insurance coverage is equal to two and one half times an employee's base annual earnings.

The Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D) is an additional benefit in the event of an employee's death or dismemberment as a result of an accident. This coverage is equal to two and one half times an employee's annual base income.

Employees also have the option of purchasing Voluntary Term Life Insurance for themselves and/or their dependents.

Disability/Extended Illness Leave
If employees are unable to work due to illness or injury, Summit will protect their income through both Short-Term and Long-Term Disability plans. Employees earn approximately three days extended illness time (EIT) annually.

Retirement
Summit helps employees achieve retirement and life goals by offering a plan that includes a defined benefit plan, a 5% employer contribution, and a company match up to the first 5% of an employee deferral.

Long Term Care
The Long Term Care plan provided by Summit covers care that would assist with activities of daily living. This care can take place either at home or in a facility. SCU pays 100% of base plan premiums for 40 hour per week employees. The base plan is a $4,000 per month benefit for 3 years.

Paid Time Off (PTO)
New employees earn a prorated amount of PTO up to 160 hours (20 days) of PTO during their first calendar year of employment. Additional PTO is earned based on years of service. PTO will start accruing at date of hire. PTO is prorated based on part-time status.

Holidays
SCU offers its employees 6.5 holidays, plus each employee's birthday, as paid days off.

Tuition Reimbursement
Summit recognizes the importance in continual learning. Employees are eligible for tuition reimbursement after 6 months of employment. Course(s)/degree programs must be business related to qualify. Reimbursement is 100% up to $1,500 per semester with a lifetime max of $12,000.

Dependent Tuition Reimbursement
Tuition assistance is provided for employees' dependents. Employees that have worked full time at SCU for 10 years or more will qualify for the program.

Gain-Share Plan
Summit offers a gain-share plan. When the organization meets its goals at 100%, employees receive a bonus based on a defined percentage of their base pay.

Benefits for part-time employees are available.
