This optional service allows Summit to authorize debit card purchases and ATM transactions when you do not have enough money in your checking account. The following information will help you decide if the service is right for you.
What is Debit Card Overdraft Coverage?
Debit Card
Overdraft Coverage allows Summit to authorize everyday debit card
purchases and ATM transactions, at Summit’s discretion, when you do not
have enough money in your checking account. There will be a fee of
$25.00 each time we pay an overdraft. There is a limit of 5 overdraft
charges per day.
If you do not opt-in to Debit Card Overdraft Coverage, your debit card purchase or ATM transaction will be declined if you do not have sufficient funds in your checking account.

Debit Overdraft Coverage
@desertmaster1 - Yes, you can link your accounts to have funds transferred from your savings to your checking account. If there are not enough funds for your purchase in your combined accounts, Debit Overdraft Coverage can prevent your transaction from declining. Jamie@Summit325 days 8 hrs 1 min 36 secs ago
overdraft protection vs transfering funds
do you have an option to automatically transfer money from savings to checking when checking balance is lower than the amount of the check or atm purchase? instead of the debit card overdraft process with $25 fee you are asking people to sign up for?325 days 16 hrs 57 mins 58 secs ago
