Online Branch FAQs

Summit recently launched a new version of Online Branch. We're still working on making several changes to it. Once the new Online Branch is fully developed, you'll enjoy the following features:

  • Easier-to-use screens
  • A customizable display that can include your frequently-used sections
  • More options for account management

Enrollment

If I was previously a Great Wisconsin member, do I need to re-enroll in Online Branch?
No. Enrollment, account numbers and passwords transferred to the new Online Branch.

How do I enroll in Online Branch if I've never used Great Wisconsin's or Summit's Online Branch before?
If you've never accessed your accounts online, you'll need to contact Summit to enroll. You can reach us at 608-243-5000/800-236-5560.


Formatting

When I log in to Online Branch, why is the first page blank?
Online Branch allows you to customize the first page you see when you log in. To customize your page, click on Your Preferences then click on Member Preferences. There you can choose what your front page will contain, including account summaries, scheduled payments, transfers, etc.

The way my transactions display are confusing. Will this change?
Yes. Display options are currently in the process of being redeveloped. We hope to have a new version available shortly.

Why can't I sort my transactions by amount, description, etc.?
We're currently working on options to sort your transactions. We hope to have this feature available shortly.

Why don't my loan payments within Online Branch show a breakdown of what portion of the payment went to the principal and what portion went to the interest?
This feature is currently unavailable; however, we're working to include this option soon.


Account Statements

How do I access my account statement?
You'll receive an email the first of each month indicating your statement is ready to view in Online Branch. You can retrieve your statement by logging in to Online Branch and clicking the eDocuments/Online Forms option in the top menu bar. Please note, if you were previously a member of Great Wisconsin you'll no longer receive a PDF of your statement each month.

My statements aren't printing correctly. How can I get all my statement information to display correctly when printed?
We're working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. You might try viewing your statements in the "text" option to print.

Why can't I view any of my account history prior to November 1?
If you're a former Great Wisconsin member, account activity prior to November 1, 2008 will only be available online by accessing past statements, which will be available within Online Branch by clicking the e-Documents/Online Forms option in the top menu bar.


Transfers

Within Online Branch, how do I transfer money to other accounts?
You can transfer money to other Summit accounts that have Online Branch access with the Multiple Account Access feature. To set up multiple account access, choose Your Preferences within Online Branch, click on the Multiple Accounts tab, and select Add new account access. Once you've set up additional accounts, access to multiple accounts will be available from the dropdown menu in the upper right hand corner of your account screen. Please note: You may exclude others from accessing your account by changing your account password or by choosing the box that reads "Exclude my account from this service so it can not be accessed by others."

How can I add notes to the transfers I make within Online Branch?
This feature is not available within Online Branch.


Bill Payer

Why can't I put the payees in Bill Payer in alphabetical order?
This option will be available in the near future.

Will the formatting within Bill Payer change?
Yes. We're currently working on re-formatting Bill Payer to make it more convenient for you.


Ordering Checks

How can I order checks online?
You can order checks online by going to SummitCreditUnion.com and clicking on the Accounts option in the top menu bar, and choosing Check Reorder from the left menu bar.

There is also an option to order checks within Online Branch; however, if you were previously a Great Wisconsin member, your first check reorder will not work within Online Branch. You may order checks by following the directions above or contacting Summit.


Other

Is there an e-form I can use when balancing my checkbook?
Yes. To access the e-form within Online Branch, click on eDocuments/Online Forms. On the far right-hand side of the page you'll see a section asking, Need to balance your checkbook? There you'll find a form to balance your checkbook and a Checkbook Balance Calculator.

How do I download transactions into Quicken or Money?
If you used Quicken or Money with your with your Great Wisconsin accounts, there are simple conversion steps that will allow Quicken and Money to work in Online Branch. Simply click a link below to download a Quicken or Microsoft Money conversion guide.

Why is my savings account showing up as a checking account?
If your savings account is showing up as a checking account, it's likely you're looking at your Money Market account. Your Money Market account is classified as a checking account within Online Branch.
