Bob has been in the mortgage business for the last 25 years and has spent time in collections, management and loan origination. Adam has worked in credit union lending for over a decade and moved to mortgage lending in 2015. Bryce went into financial services right after college, working first as a teller and then as a personal banker. He later moved into mortgage processing and then into mortgage lending. Although his work in financial services started at another organization, after a co-worker switched to Summit – and raved about the work environment, benefits and chance for advancement – Bryce did the same.

Laura has been in financing for most of her career and has spent time developing her knowledge and skills as a mortgage loan officer. She also has experience in title work and property management.

Away from work, Laura enjoys spending time with her two boys, making memories. And you may see her outside exploring Wisconsin in the ways of golfing, camping, or fishing.

For several years, Kevin McElmeel has been a mortgage loan consultant working in the broker channel, retail lending and bank lending environments.

Before mortgage lending, he was a retail branch manager for a local community bank. Kevin puts himself into each borrowers’ shoes to learn about their dreams and goals for them and their family.

As your loan officer, Kevin will look to be a partner with you through the process, advocating for your best interest. Kevin has two young kids that keep him busy. Outside of family events, he is an avid golfer and an aspiring BBQ competitor.

When she’s not hard at work in Summit’s mortgage loan department, you’ll find Tori spending time with family, mastering her vinyl crafting techniques or enjoying a night under the stars during a camping trip.

There’s nothing mortgage loan officer Linda Chesak loves better than the moment she gets to hand over the keys to a brand-new homeowner. It’s a thrill she’s gotten to experience many times in the 30+ years she’s lived her passion for making residential loans happen – and one that never gets old.

What goes into making that magic moment happen? First, the skills Linda’s gained in her many roles – including experience as a teller, loan processor, branch manager and even vice president. Second, her first-hand knowledge with virtually every type of mortgage loan – including those for lots and new construction, purchases, refinances and government loans. And last, but certainly not least, her exceptional communication and can-do attitude.

Joy is a long-time fan of the credit union way of doing business. She’s been a part of "people helping people" for more than 20 years and her first credit union was in Anchorage, Alaska, where her husband served in the military. Joy made the move to Summit when we opened a branch in her hometown of Green Bay. A big part of that decision? Hearing good things about us from her son (thanks for the vote of confidence!).

When Joy isn’t helping members find their best “whole picture” mortgage, she enjoys spending time with her family. Because her children are all nearly grown, Joy and her husband are practicing their empty nester skills and love a good road trip.

After nearly three decades in financial services, Steve Hansen still finds that every day delivers a new and interesting challenge. Leigha has been working in financial services since she was 17. Since that time, she’s played a variety of roles in the financial services space. Leigha has loved her many opportunities to train and coach employees, network and run community events. But there’s one thing she’s loved even more: The chance to connect one-on-one with members.

Helping members find the mortgage they need is a huge passion of Leigha’s. And being part of the process that helps make a home happen, is one of her absolute favorite things.

Jean Drinkwine knows closing on a home is just the start of lifelong memories to come, and she’s been helping people create those memories for over 20 years.

Jean also loves Summit’s focus on making homebuying easier and believes in educating and guiding members through the whole process. Buying a house is a huge milestone, and for Jean, there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing homebuyers achieve their goals.

When she’s not helping members finance homes, she loves to soak up everything Midwest summers have to offer with her husband and their black lab, Mattie. Jean also has a love for agates ­– and an extensive collection to show for it. How rockin’ is that?

We have a hunch the phrase, “If you love what you do, you won’t work a day in your life,” really resonates with Summit mortgage loan officer Vicky Torres. She’s been in banking for over thirty years, with many of those years spent in lending right here at Summit Credit Union.

And if you needed any more convincing that Vicky Torres is passionate about helping people reach their financial goals: She grew up playing loan officer with her cousins! Talk about fulfilling your childhood dreams.

After moving to Wisconsin, Vicky passed by our Greenfield branch and was instantly intrigued. And from there it was the perfect match – Vicky truly lives out the credit union principle of people helping people. She feels privileged to be part of helping members fulfill their dream of homeownership.

When she’s not at Summit, Vicky enjoys a variety of hobbies – from kayaking and crafting, to singing and reading. She also loves soaking up time with her family and grandson whenever possible.

Cody Brings an impressive array of experiences and skills to every mortgage. He’s worked in various roles such as branch management, contact center management, training and member service. What he learned in each of those roles has played a part in making Cody the experienced, responsive, member-first mortgage loan officer he is today.

Other than a brief stint at a credit union in California – and who can blame him for trying life without winter? – Cody has spent most of his career at Summit. What attracted him to Summit in the first place and brought him back for more? Our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and how we celebrate every employee’s unique background, talents and strengths. Plus, Cody loves our collaborative, always-learning environment, which he says helps him be a great resource to our members.

One of our most experienced mortgage loan officers, Keith Jensen will bring a quarter-century of mortgage experience to your loan, most of it right here at Summit. He’s helped members find just the right mortgage in good economic times – and challenging. And everyone from first-time homebuyers to retirees has ended up with the loan that’s just right for them. In fact, people like working with Keith so much that many come back for another loan when they upsize, downsize or refinance.

Keith attributes his long tenure to a shared vision and mission. He believes every member of the Summit mortgage department is working toward the same goal: Finding members the loan that helps them live their best financial life.
