Summit Employees Advocate for Members

Kim Sponem and Mark PocanLast month, Summit Credit Union employees hosted a celebratory breakfast for credit union Advocates. The event hosted speakers Kim Sponem, Summit Credit Union CEO & President, Sarah Wainscott, Director of Political Affairs at the Wisconsin Credit Union League and Congressman Mark Pocan (D-Town Vermont), who represents 22 Summit Credit Union branch locations. The event recognized the advocacy efforts of credit union staff and spurred an open dialog with the Congressman about important issues impacting Summit members.

Summit employees are #1 among Wisconsin credit unions for their personal financial commitment, advocating for credit union members!

Activists Took Quick Action on Data Security

Thank you to everyone that sprung into action and asked Congress to support the Data Security Act (H.R.2205). The legislation was passed by the House Financial Services Committee.

The bill is still being considered in the House Committee on Energy and Commerce and would eventually require support from the House and Senate to advance. Your contacts to Representatives and Senators are still valuable, contact them today!
