Summit Credit Union Opens Full-Service Branch on Monona Drive

MADISON, Wis.—Summit Credit Union’s full-service branch in a contemporary-style new building at 5809 Monona Drive opened on December 13. The 3,700-square-foot branch, which includes four drive-up lanes and 19 parking spaces, is next to the Silver Eagle Bar and Grill.

Lobby Hours are 8:30 am–5 pm Mon–Thur; 8:30 am–6 pm Fri and 9 am–12 pm on Sat. Drive-up lanes are open from 7:30 am–6 pm Mon–Fri and 8:30 am–1 pm Sat.

A grand opening celebration is planned January 15-31.

Heidi Segerson previously at Summit’s Westport branch has been named manager. The staff of seven includes mortgage loan officer and Summit Financial Advisor.

Kim Sponem, CEO & President of Summit Credit Union, said the credit union is looking forward to opening the highly visible location to be more convenient. “We’re excited about being a part of the Monona community with our full service branch.” said Sponem. “On average, Summit members save an average of nearly $300 per household versus using a typical Wisconsin bank, so we look forward to bring that savings to even more Monona residents.”

Average member household savings data is based on a Customized Analysis of Member Benefits conducted by the CUNA Economics and Statistics Department for Summit Credit Union for the twelve month period ending December 31, 2016.

The Monona location brings the total to 34 branches for Wisconsin’s second largest credit union with $2.8 billion in assets.

Summit Credit Union also recently broke ground for a six-story, 152,000 square foot corporate headquarters and campus in Cottage Grove, which will also include a full service branch, expected to open in spring, 2019.
