Summit Credit Union Opens Full-Service Branch in Wauwatosa

Wisconsin’s No. 1 mortgage lender¹ expands in Milwaukee

MADISON, Wis. — Summit Credit Union opened its first full-service location in Wauwatosa at 7600 W. Bluemound Road.

The conveniently located Wauwatosa office joins Summit’s 12 existing Milwaukee-area offices featuring a full-range of services. It will be staffed with seven employees, including a financial advisor, business development officer, and a mortgage loan officer.

A new feature of this location is a vestibule with 24/7 access to smart lockers where members can safely and securely pick up items like replacement debit cards.

Summit, a cooperative with members rather than a corporation with shareholders, is Wisconsin’s No. 1 Mortgage Lender¹ and the No. 1 Small Business Administration loan lender for credit unions in the state.

“Members love to visit a branch when they have a financial question, want to open a new account or apply for a mortgage,” said Kim Sponem, CEO & President of Summit Credit Union. “We believe branch expansion is an important aspect of helping people improve their financial lives.”

The branch also includes Personal Teller Machines, which give members access to a live teller via video screens, in the branch and drive-up lane.

Summit’s fast growth in the Milwaukee metro area has been fueled in recent years by helping consumers with their financial goals, mortgages, and small business needs.

All Milwaukee branches are open now that COVID infections rates have dropped. These include Brookfield, Waukesha, Waukesha Northeast, Pewaukee, Greendale, Oconomowoc, New Berlin, Greenfield Avenue, Miller Park Way, Muskego, and Franklin.

The Wauwatosa location brings Summit’s total to 49 branches across south-central and southeastern Wisconsin.
