MADISON, Wis.—To celebrate opening a new branch in Monona, Summit Credit Union gave $50 to local charities for each new checking account opened during two weeks in January. New members selected which of three local nonprofits they would like the credit union to support. New members also received $50 credited to their checking account.

MADISON, Wis.—Over seven months in 2017, Jenniffer Price saved over $10,000 and reduced her debt by almost $5,000 on her way to winning the top prize of Summit Credit Union’s Project Money. Each year, the financial-based competition and community education program awards a $10,000 cash prize to the top-performing team.

MADISON, Wis.—Summit Credit Union has launched its fifth annual Project Teen Money program, a unique challenge created by the member-owned cooperative to help young adults be more financially empowered. Culminating in a $2,500 scholarship awarded to the winner, the competition is conducted through Summit’s in-school branches at Madison’s East, La Follette and Memorial high schools.

MADISON, Wis.—Summit Credit Union was recently ranked in the top four percent among the nation’s credit unions in a report measuring returns to members. Providing an overall ranking of financial returns to members, Summit was ranked seven out of 280 total credit unions surveyed in the $1–10 billion peer group.

MADISON, Wis.—Summit Credit Union is now accepting applications for its annual Board of Directors Scholarships, which reward members who are high school seniors or currently enrolled in college. Each year, the Board of Directors Scholarships awards three $1,500 continuing education grants to help its young adult members pursue higher education and enrich their lives for years to come.
