Credit Union Political Advocacy

Summit is stronger when the Credit Union industry is stronger.

Summit Credit Union is a credit union industry leader in political advocacy. We work with credit union industry organizations to promote credit union friendly legislation on behalf of our members and the interests of the more than 2.4 million Wisconsin credit union members who want to retain the right to belong to a not-for-profit, member-owned financial cooperative that returns earnings to members.

By cultivating pro-credit union relationships and pro-actively telling the credit union story with regulators, legislators and other community and industry leaders, we increase understanding of and appreciation for the Credit Union Difference. This, in turn, helps credit unions:

  • Remain a strong, valuable consumer choice in the financial marketplace
  • Increase membership
  • Advance legislation benefiting credit unions and their 2.4 million members in Wisconsin
  • Shape public policy issues in Wisconsin affecting financial services
