Meet your Business Development Officer at:

VP Business Lending & Market Manager Luke Hagel has a lot to offer Summit’s business members, but a couple things really stand out.

First, 20+ years of hands-on commercial banking experience. Eric Hesselink

Meet your Business Development Officer at:

Sheboygan

Whether you’re launching a new business or looking for help growing an existing one, you need a trusted lending expert. Here are three great reasons to partner with VP Business Lending & Market Manager Eric Hesselink.

First, his experience. Eric has spent more than two decades in financial services, mostly in commercial banking. Whether you need start-up funding, help with a merger or acquisition, a loan for equipment, construction or real estate or a working capital line of credit, you can count on Eric to deliver the resources that best fit your needs.

Second, the range of businesses he’s helped. Eric has worked with businesses of all sizes and with a wide variety of ownership structures.

Last, his dedication to small business success. Eric has helped business owners navigate 7a, Express and 504-type Small Business Administration (SBA) loans. And he’s so well respected for his work with 504 loans that WBD (a Wisconsin nonprofit whose mission is to grow businesses, create jobs and build communities) awarded him their Elite Lender status.

Even in his downtime, you’ll find Eric working hard to make life better for others. He’s actively involved in the Sheboygan community, including membership in the Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce. Eric also loves spending time with his family and friends, typically enjoying all the Wisconsin outdoors has to offer.

Julie Spitzack

There are two important things to know about VP Sr Business Services Julie Spitzack.

One, that just like Summit, she’s passionate about helping small businesses succeed, especially those led by female entrepreneurs. Talk to a small business that’s worked with Julie and you’re likely to hear how she went out of her way to find solutions—no matter what challenges they faced.

And two, that Julie has a reputation for making the complicated seem easy. That comes from years of experience and exceptional communication skills. Julie started her career as a bank examiner with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC)’s Chicago Office and honed her lending and management skills at a variety of financial institutions throughout the Midwest. She also has extensive experience working with real estate investors in the residential and commercial markets and earned the Small Business Administration (SBA) 7A Fundamental and Advanced Diplomas issued by the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (NAGGL). It’s no wonder business members rave about Julie!

A number of local organizations and nonprofits have also benefited from Julie’s skills. She belongs to The Business Forum, Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce, Women United and Downtown Madison Inc. In addition, Julie teaches for the Small Business Development Center’s (SBDC) Entrepreneurial Training Program, has tutored for Schools of Hope, and serves as a judge for the Madison College Business Plan Challenge and High School Pitch. On the non-profit front, Julie is a board member and chair of the finance committee for Community Action Coalition. She’s also been a Big Sister in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and worked with The Road Home, United Way, Junior Achievement and Habitat for Humanity.

Julie has a business degree from Western Illinois University and received her Master's in Business from the Keller Graduate School of Management. After hours, you can find her biking, hiking, cross-country skiing or curling up with a good book.

Pam Albright

Pamela Albright VP Sr Business Services

800-236-5560 ext. 3200

Meet your Business Development Officer at:

Elm Grove

You can’t help but be impressed by the knowledge and experience that VP Senior Business Services Pam Albright brings to every business member.

After all, Pam is someone who moved from teller to personal banker to consumer and mortgage lender, later serving as a district manager and then a market manager who oversaw 40 offices before joining the business services team more than a decade ago.

But ask Pam what she feels is most important for a business member to know about her, and she’ll likely tell you this: She enjoys making a difference.

Pam makes that difference happen with knowledge and hard work, backed by great listening and communication skills, patience and dedication. She’s committed to helping her business members achieve their goals, and she loves how the Summit culture allows her to make that happen.

When Pam isn’t hard at work helping Summit’s business members achieve their goals, it’s a toss-up if you’ll find her enjoying the great outdoors or indoors! Pam enjoys travel and loves spending time in Northern Wisconsin kayaking, boating, jet skiing, UTVing, snowmobiling, biking and swimming. But she’s equally at home indoors, listening to music, trying new recipes, reading or diving into a craft project.

Pam holds a degree in business administration from Milwaukee Area Technical College and attended the University of Virginia.

Elena Staabs

Meet your Business Development Officer at:

Sheboygan

Business Lender Elena Staabs believes in the power of small businesses to promote positive change, create jobs and provide opportunities for all (just like Summit!). And, also like Summit, she’s always looking for new and better ways to help small businesses succeed.

Over her nearly 20-year career in financial services, Elena has become an expert in underwriting commercial and industrial loans of all types, including Small Business Administration (SBA) loans, real estate projects and agricultural loans. She’s also gained extensive experience managing members’ loan portfolios, including helping them manage loan renewals and new money requests.

In addition to holding a degree in international business from Lakeland University, Elena is a graduate of the Wisconsin Bankers Association (WBA) Commercial Lending School and the South Dakota Bankers Association National School for Experienced Ag Lenders.

Elena also believes in the power of community and connection. She’s an ambassador for the Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce (and a 2023 Ambassador of the Year!). She serves on the Chamber’s Deep Dive committee, the board of directors for the Professional Women’s Connection – Sheboygan Chapter and the finance committee for Lake Country Academy.

When Elena isn’t helping a local business succeed, you might find her traveling, enjoying the great Wisconsin outdoors or cheering on her kids at one of their (many!) sporting events.

Andrew Hayes

Meet your Business Development Officer at:

West Bend

Ask Business Lender Andrew Hayes why his role at Summit is such a great fit, and his answer boils down to three key things: He loves helping people (and what better place to do that than Summit, where he lives credit unions’ “people helping people” culture every day!). He’s passionate about partnering with small businesses to help them achieve their goals and dreams. And he understands what small business owners need because he’s been one himself.

Andrew grew up in an entrepreneurial family and gained exposure to investment real estate and the realities of running a small business at a young age. Those experiences led him toward a degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a financial services career that spans over three decades. During that time, Andrew worked at both banks and credit unions (and gained a solid understanding of their differences), served as a loan officer, worked in business banking and commercial credit and was even the president of a small credit union for seven years. All of these valuable experiences shaped his desire – and ability – to help businesses thrive.

When Andrew isn’t partnering with local businesses, you’ll find him on land (hiking, skiing or cheering on his soccer-loving kids), in the water (kayaking and other water sports are favorites) or enjoying a view from the clouds (as a pilot and professional flight instructor!).

Rob Warren VP Business Services

800-236-5560 ext. 7928

Meet your Business Development Officer at:

Sheboygan

The right loan can make a big difference.

That’s a lesson VP Business Services Rob Warren learned firsthand when he worked as a business lending intern at a local credit union during college. And that knowledge is why he works so diligently to understand and meet the lending needs of the businesses he serves today.

Rob has spent the last decade helping businesses grow and thrive. In his first post-college role as a credit analyst, he honed his skills with Small Business Administration (SBA) 7a and 504 products. He later moved into a small business relationship manager role, where he handled SBA loans from start to finish. Rob followed that with a position as a relationship manager, where he gained the expertise to help businesses with a broad range of commercial lending challenges.

A solutions-oriented partner, Rob loves building relationships and supporting members as they launch and grow their businesses. He’s partnered with dozens of companies throughout his career and takes pride in the difference he makes for them. Rob’s excited to be part of the Summit business team, knowing we share his member-first commitment.

When he’s not helping his members find the right loan, you’ll often find Rob at the bowling alley. He had a bowling scholarship to Viterbo University, where he earned a degree in finance, and still bowls competitively today. Rob also enjoys the great Wisconsin outdoors and he loves to golf, hunt and fish.
