Summit Credit Union Officer Featured in Executive Profile

MADISON, Wis.—Rebecca (Becky) Gerothanas, senior vice president of operations at Summit Credit Union, headquartered in Madison, Wis., was selected for an executive profile in the business section of the Sunday Wisconsin State Journal.

Gerothanas, who has been promoted several times during her 20-year career at Summit, focused on the technical changes associated with electronic banking, the continued growth of Summit Credit Union and the differences between credit unions and banks. The Sunday Wisconsin State Journal boasts the largest circulation in the state, second to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Kim Sponem, CEO and president of Summit Credit Union said, “Becky’s interview went a long way to help the public understand how we are different than banks, but also how we can serve their needs in very similar ways.  She also shined the light on our extensive community outreach, providing financial education throughout our market.”
