Emily, a Health and Wellness Director, and Maddie, a Medical Sales Rep and part-time Athletic Trainer, are newlyweds and just recently bought their first home – their dog George is settling in nicely! Emily and Maddie are hoping Project Money builds their financial knowledge and confidence as they begin their journey of starting a family.
Q: Why did you apply for Project Money?A: We’re ready to build our savings so we can grow our family! Because we are two women in a marriage, creating life looks a little different than your traditional ways of having children, and most options come with a big price tag. In addition to saving for that next step, we would like to eliminate as much debt as possible! Q: What’s the value of getting to work with a Summit Financial Coach?A: We can build a relationship with someone we trust and have an extra set of eyes on our financials. Having a coach guide us will help us stay aligned with our goals and help us remember we are a team.Q: What does financial confidence and financial security look and feel like to you? A: We’d have a full understanding of our current financial situation and where we want to be in the future. We could discuss money openly without any stress. No credit card debt and more in savings would be great, too!Q: What are you most excited about with this experience?A: While also challenging, we are excited to be vulnerable and get very uncomfortable. We know that discomfort is where growth and change happen. We are always looking to better ourselves – for us and for others.Q: Fun fact about you?A: We both have our own unique passions! Emily is a fitness junkie, making it into a career and sharing her passion with others. Maddie loves to travel, and we’re confident Project Money will help improve our savings strategies so we can take more trips and experience life even more!

We can’t wait to see how much you’ll accomplish, Emily and Maddie!
