Moriah and Terrance's Journey:

Black Friday Blackout

Admittedly, Black Friday is a weakness for me. I love deals on video games and technology. And Black Friday and Cyber Monday rarely disappoint. I can always find at least one or two deals that I find too good to resist. But usually the deal is on something wholly unnecessary and doesn't get as much play as I thought it would upon purchase. So this year, I have a plan.

I took an inventory of my purchases from the previous Black Friday and Cyber Monday and discovered that I have 5 unplayed video games from the last 2 years. So instead of adding to the pile, I intend to stay off Amazon, stay in the house, and play those games and get my money's worth from them. A good deal is a good deal. But a good deal sitting on your shelf is wasteful spending. I am determined not to buy something just because it's a good deal this year if it has no immediate purpose for me or my family. Besides, if it's a tech purchase, it will probably be even cheaper by the time I get around to it when I actually use it. So no Black Friday shopping for me this year-Terrance.

Moriah's 2 cents-we know I love to shop however I have no desire to brave the crowds. This temptation is ALL Terrance for once! Now January clearance..........kidding, I'm practicing want vs. need as my habit long after Project Money is over.
