Betsy and Noah's Journey:
a brighter future
It is hard to believe this is the last blog for Project Money. It seems like we started this journey a lifetime ago, and yet, here I am marveling at how quickly the time passed. We are so grateful for the help and guidance we received from our financial coach. We realize how fortunate we are to be part of a credit union that wants their members to succeed and thrive financially. The COVID-19 pandemic has been hard for everyone and devastating for some, so having the ability to work on our financial goals is a blessing in itself.
There have been a lot of changes for us since we started examining our financial life, the best among them, being a sense of control in our lives. We have mentioned it many times, but the chaos surrounding our use of money really flowed into all aspects of our life. Learning to create and follow a budget was a game changer for us, and probably the biggest takeaway from Project Money. Learning to map out where money needs to go, then where we want it to go, has lessened the stress in our lives in a big way.
We are so happy to be in a place now to be able to continue building on these good habits on our own. We have plenty of work left to do and things to learn as we move forward, but our goals have changed from feeling unattainable to exciting and reachable. You wouldn’t believe what it means to us to thrive financially. Thank you so much to everyone who has been part of this journey with us.
