Idah's Journey:

cheers to a new chapter

There wasn’t a lot going on this past week, but it was definitely another week of celebrations.

First celebration: It's official! I got engaged. Although my fiancé and I had been talking about getting married in the near future, now that the ring is here, it’s official. Both my fiancé and I are super excited for the next chapter of our lives. Although we know wedding finances are not going to be easy, we are both grateful that I am doing Project Money and learning money management skills. Both of us have already started saving for our wedding in a separate account. My financial coach, Brooke, encouraged me to have a separate savings account for goal savings, like a wedding, and deposit money through automatic deposits. That way, I don't see the money and get tempted to use it.

Second celebration: My first small loan is paid off! This feels really good. I know I still have a long way to go, but seeing the numbers go down is just magical. Let the snowball effect continue.
