Idah's Journey:

The journey is far from over

Wow, this is the second to last blog! How did we even get here so fast!? I can't believe my Project Money journey is coming to an end. This week, I was reflecting on how I am going to continue my financial journey after the program concludes at the end of December. Although I am almost done with the program, the journey is far from over. I am so excited to continue with the new lifestyle that Project Money has taught me. I shared with my financial coach the other day that I already have budgets for the first couple months of 2021 done and I am planning to continue paying off debt with the debt snowball approach. The most important part is that I am so excited to pay off my last two debts. This shows me that I was successful in making my Project Money journey a lifestyle versus just a competition. Some of my plans to maintain a healthy financial journey after Project Money include getting a second job to get extra income that I can use to pay off debt, keep working on creating effective budgets, differentiating between needs and wants and consulting with financial experts on refinancing options. I can't wait to look back a year from now and see the results of all my work.
