An American in Paris

Je déteste mon argent! This phrase was proclaimed to a foreign exchange agent in Paris by a friend of ours. Translation: I hate my money! After repeated attempts, the agent finally pleaded, stop butchering our language and speak English! Turns out trying to learn some French a week before visiting there is not actually an effective strategy.

Today is Christmas Eve, which means there is only one more week of Project Money remaining. Our activities of sharing thoughts and financial learnings through blogs, social media posts, videos and interviews will be wrapping up. After many months in Project Money, we have come to the conclusion that there is no such thing is an ‘easy’ month. School-related activities, ice skating, un-planned expenses and life in general keep us always on our financial toes. Adding in the holiday season and the stress that comes along with it is making late November and December particularly challenging.
