Jasmine's Journey:
Move in day…
I closed on my condo this week and finally get to move out of my family member’s house. This is one of the most exciting times for me because I’m reaching one of my goals. The closing went very smoothly and quickly. I stopped at Sam’s Club to stock up on some hygiene products for my two youngest kids and myself. I made a trip to Home Depot and grabbed a couple of supplies to start some renovations in my condo. After that, I got a U-Haul and unloaded my storage unit. I’ve pulled up the carpet and already painted in two rooms. I plan to take it one room at a time when doing some DIY updates with the help of my family. I would like to carve out a realistic budget to be able to handle some of these projects without taking out a loan or opening a new credit card. I will work extra hours at my part-time job to cover some of these expenses as well. I’ve been on Facebook Marketplace to look for some of the things I may need and have found that it’s a very helpful resource for buying or selling things online.
As time goes on, I feel my day-to-day stress is coming under control. I’m going to be able to enjoy doing some of the things I love in my new condo. I could finally host BBQ or even sit out in my little backyard while my kids play. I’m excited for what’s coming next!
