Hannah's Journey:

Reflection

This past week, I recorded my second interview for WKOW. This time around, I felt more comfortable and more confident in what I was saying and what I am doing with this project. The kids were also very engaged and interested in the interview. I think they are finally adjusted to my lifestyle changes of actively trying to save more and understand the importance of what I am doing (as much as kids can).

During the interview, I was able to reflect on what I’m getting out of this project, and I was able to think beyond monetary value. Of course, winning would be great and definitely life changing, but I have also gained lifelong skills and knowledge when it comes to dealing with money and the variety of options I have when thinking what to do with it (save, spend, invest, etc.). I have also gained an internal sense of accountability. I have learned ways to hold myself accountable without needing outside opinion and influence. Overall, I am very pleased with how things are going, and I know I’ve said it before but I feel more confident as time goes on. It is a really great feeling to be confident and in control of your finances.
