Jaclyn and Kiara's Journey:
turn your dreams into reality!
Have you ever had a dream or a goal that you would do as hard or as much as you can to achieve? No matter how many hours it took or how exhausted you were? If so, trust us; we know the feeling. Our biggest goal even before starting Project Money was to own a house and in just a few short months of participating in this journey, we can see it in our future. It is looking more like a reality and less like a dream. Now, we know that we keep talking about this dream house that we really want but we have come to realize that we have never really gone into detail about it. So we want to let you guys in on a little bit of our dream.
Everyone has things they desire and everyone has things that they require when it comes to purchasing a house. We plan to work hard enough in order to start with the things that we require and even harder to reach the things that we desire. Here are a few things we require to be in our home or a part of our home:
Large fenced in yard-because fur babies like to run and not be cooped up in a small apartment.
2 car garage-so that no one has to deal with a snow covered vehicle come blizzard season.
3 to 4 bedrooms-so that we have space to expand our family and have tiny humans.
Spacious kitchens-because meal prepping is SUPER HARD with no counter space.
2 bathrooms-because we will have guests from time to time and everyone loves to shower!
Closet Space!-because of all of the clothes, shoes and laundry detergent that we have accumulated over the years.
Now that you know a few things that we absolutely have to have, here are a few of our desires:
A kitchen island-while it would be ideal when entertaining and any extra counter space would be wonderful.
Hardwood Floors-carpet just holds so much bacteria and PET HAIR and let's face it, the floors are beautiful.
Finished basement-everyone loves a renovated basement for a hangout spot.
Bar-entertaining is always more fun with a bar during the Packers game. GO PACK GO!
Cul-De-Sac-we like the idea of not having a lot of traffic all day, everyday but we will have to consider parking for guests.
These are all things that we can think of or that we have seen at others homes or online. But recently we have considered just going to open houses not to buy just yet but in order to get an idea of what we like and what we can get for our money. We would love to stay on the West side of Madison but are willing to expand our horizons. We don't plan on leaving Dane County for now because this is where we have built our base and hope to continue building.
