Hello Week 25 of Project Money!  It’s been a long week.  My mom died a week ago and although my heart is heavy, I know my mom is in a better place without pain and without suffering.  Nothing in life is guaranteed and although I’ve said it many times before, it is worth reiterating that we must live each day as if it is our last.   Although my mom had battled cancer for four years, her death came unexpectedly and puts lots of things into perspective.  We can’t buy time, happiness, friends, hope, dreams, love, and we can’t buy health.

thankful for leftovers
Megan and Scott
The holiday season is upon us!  Some would say this is the best time of the year.  We love being able to spend more time with family and friends… and eating the amazing food that goes with it.  Megan’s family is Italian, and it is second nature to eat until your pant buttons pop.  You know what that means for us…..leftovers.

there is always a time to be thankful!

We seriously cannot believe that Thanksgiving is this week! The end of 2018 is just a month and a week or so away and we are just basking in the thought of how far we have come! If you are like us, you really love the holidays and love the thought of buying gifts, wrapping gifts and just making someone's day. There is nothing that warms our hearts more than being able to see the look on someone's face when you hand them something that they have always wanted or just something that legitimately surprises and touches their hearts.

Angie and Cris
This past weekend we opted for our family to travel to an away swim meet in Oshkosh for Blake. We were also able to have our wonderful niece, who is attending UW-Oshkosh, visit with us for the weekend and watch her little cousin swim.

bridal party
Megan and Scott
As we sit here writing this week’s blog post, we’re reminiscing on the amazing time we had with our closest friends last night! We planned a bridal party as a way for our besties to meet and greet and say hi and be able to put faces to names before the big day! While we wanted to roll out the red carpet and provide surf-n-turf, butler-passed appetizers, gifts, etc., we instead took a bit of a different route to stay within our budgets for groceries and entertainment for the month!

How do you host a party without going overboard on spending?

winter is coming and we're trying to build a snowman!
Jaclyn and Kiara
Hey guys! We appreciate you following us so far and definitely appreciate all of the support that you have shown us. If you are debt ridden like we are then you know that anything to help get some relief or to help get it paid off faster is so awesome. We started this program with all kinds of debt! We had maxed out one of our credit cards and the other, our Summit Credit Card, was basically there. We had auto loans, personal loans, vacation package loan, medical bills in collection, student loans and basically anything you can think of.
