Melanie began working in the financial industry straight out of high school. After starting as a teller, she quickly worked her way up to universal banker by using the lessons she learned about money as a single parent. She eventually found her way to Summit Credit Union nearly nine years ago, where she is now a branch manager.
Over the years, Melanie developed a true passion for helping people improve their finances to better their lives. “I get the most joy out of seeing my recommendations bring members relief, tears of joy and pure smiles,” she explains.
Melanie plans to pass this passion on to her Project Money team, guiding and inspiring her throughout her journey to build a bright financial future.
When she’s not making a positive change with her members or team, Melanie can be found in the community where she is actively involved as a volunteer, including her part-time work as a volunteer firefighter! You’ll also catch her at the occasional mud run and spending time with her three children.
