Make a Payment Rates About Careers Contact Locations Along with a full-time job helping families impacted by community violence find housing and services, Hannah works part-time on evenings and weekends and is raising her four godchildren, ages 5-16. She hopes Project Money gives her knowledge to take a proactive approach to money vs. learning through difficult experiences.
Megan achieved her first financial goal at her first paying job at McDonald’s – where she budgeted and saved to buy an Apple desktop computer. In her nearly 20 years of financial experience since, she’s been helping others reach their money goals and can’t wait to guide Hannah to hers. Q: What’s the biggest thing that Project Money does for people? A: Being able to build a relationship and trust that goes beyond just working with a “banker or lender” to a connection that truly influences outcomes. I’m not one to give orders but instead to offer personalized financial guidance and be a facilitator. Q: Any overall tips for Hannah’s journey? A: First, I want to get to know Hannah’s top goals, what’s going well and what she wants to change. And then I’d tell her to be open to adapting as we go – priorities switch and we’ll need to adjust for that. Q: To you, what’s the one financial “must?” A: Always have a nest egg or back-up plan for an emergency that doesn’t include a credit card. Q: What’s something wish you could tell everyone about finances? A: No matter what age you are, have a financial plan for your real estate, assets, debt and beneficiaries. It’s not as painful as you think and putting that guidance into place makes things easier for your family. Q: What do you love most about what you do at Summit? A: Guiding members who aren’t sure what direction to go and seeing results! With Project Money, I’ll get more opportunity than ever for ongoing follow-up and help Hannah share this experience with family and friends for an even wider impact. Q: Fun fact about you? A: I enjoy spending time with my husband and two sons (ages 4 and 6), gardening and traveling. I just went to Arizona and loved it.
