Jake loves making a difference in members’ lives as a Senior Lending Advisor and he is excited to take on his first year as a Project Money coach! Jake can’t wait to support Becky and David in their Project Money journey, helping them create lifelong financial habits and sharing in their happiness when they see real-time tangible results.Q: What’s the biggest thing that Project Money does for people? I think it makes money management and finances approachable. Too often I think people are afraid to discuss money matters “in polite company” and most of us don’t want to admit to not knowing this stuff. Project Money shows that everybody is navigating their own relationship with money and gives hope by showing there are solutions to problems.Q: Any overall tips for Becky and David’s journey? There is rarely a single “right way” to navigating finances. As with any relationship, honesty is critical in your relationship with money-especially when it comes to creating and following budgets. Be honest and realistic about what you spend money on and don’t budget what you “think you should” be spending.Q: To you, what’s the one financial “must?”Be intentional with your spending! Whether you do an envelope system, use a spending analysis app or any other means of tracking your money – track your money!Q: What’s something you wish you could tell everyone about finances?Start saving as early as you can. Even if you think it’s “too late,” start now!Q: What do you love most about what you do at Summit? What I love most about what I do is knowing that I can actually help make a real difference in members’ lives. I can present finances in a way maybe somebody hadn’t thought about before or offer guidance on credit and spending habits. When I can help a member solve a financial puzzle, it’s incredibly rewarding.Q: Fun fact about you?I’m an analytical guy with a sense of humor who loves cars, cats and food. My wife and I love traveling and experiencing what makes the places we visit fun!
