From personal banker to loan officer and now Branch Manager at Summit’s Brookfield branch, Ashley has the experience and the passion to take on her first year of Project Money coaching! She’s most excited to help Emily and Maddie develop effective, long-lasting financial habits that propel them toward their goals.Q: What’s the biggest thing that Project Money does for people?A: The program helps participants build a better sense of financial security through one-on-one coaching that focuses on their unique goals.Q: Any overall tips for Emily and Maddie’s journey?A: It’s okay to start small and celebrate wins, of all sizes, along the way.Q: To you, what’s the one financial “must?”A: Don’t charge more to your credit card than you can comfortably pay off every month.Q: What was your first paying job and how did it teach you about money?A: As a cashier at Kmart, I regularly helped customers make sure their items didn’t amount to more than they could pay for. I also learned about credit and was able to help customers apply for credit cards.Q: What do you love most about what you do at Summit?A: I love educating our members and finding ways to help them improve their financial life. Through Summit, I was able to connect with a resource center in Milwaukee where I can be an onsite resource to answer questions and help educate youth about the importance of credit and having a bank account.Q: Fun fact about you?A: I love spending time with my husband, young son and two dogs. After learning to knit during COVID quarantine, I’ve also picked up a passion for a variety of crafts – my favorite being stained glass.
