Dakota, a customer service representative, and Beau, public works foreman, are newly married and enjoying life with their toddler daughter, Ila, and cats they adore. Rachel started at Summit five years ago as a Teller and has worked up to now a Lending Advisor – and ready to share knowledge as a Project Money coach! Rachel knows it’s a lot of constant work to reach the financial wellness point you want to be at but can’t wait to help Dakota and Beau on their family journey to their goals.Q: What’s the biggest thing that Project Money does for people?Project Money empowers our members to take charge of their financial picture and gives them the tools to make the necessary improvements.Q: Any overall tips for Dakota and Beau’s journey?Don’t doubt your ability to make the changes that you want to see. And don’t discredit how much you have already done for yourself already. Never be afraid to ask questions or push your comfort zone to find the best solution for your financial future.Q: To you, what’s the one financial “must?”Building equity does not always have to come in large leaps and bounds. My grandpa strongly recommended starting small, building equity and repeating that process over time to improve your financial picture.Q: What’s something you wish you could tell everyone about finances?Always ask questions and be open to suggestions on ways to improve. As the world and economy change, it is good to use our resources to make sure we stay well informed.Q: What do you love most about what you do at Summit?I love being able to find impactful solutions for my members. Even if they only come in looking to do one thing (like getting a preapproval), I love looking at credit reports to see what else is out there and how else we can help save our members money.Q: Fun fact about you?I have a wonderful husband, John, of 10 years. Our son Kayden is 6 and is a huge motivator in my life. We are in the process of building a home on my childhood farmland and I am excited to have my son grow up out in the country like I did!
