Fall Is Upon Us

October 5, 2022 Back into the swing of a somewhat normal and/or more calming schedule. One of the best feelings right now is that I’m taking the semester off of grad school and my full-time job has gone back to an average workload. Thus, I find myself actually with a bit of free time and pause…and it feels great! Just in time to enjoy Autumn, the best part of the season! It’s a great time to be able to spend ample time outdoors bundled in fun fall layers with a laundry list of cheap or free activities throughout the city!  Part of me is also feeling rejuvenated because we just got back from Spain! I was there for a week in Madrid for work, Krystal joined me at the end, and we extended it to a week of vacation! We rented a car and explored various wine regions, towns, cities and villages across different parts of Spain. My favorites were La Rioja region & Basque Country, Segovia, and Rueda, to name a few. The best part of it all was that the wine and food were pretty inexpensive, and the dollar was just as strong as the Euro! I’ll have to write more about it next week and also share some cost-saving tips along with maybe some photos. With the changing of the seasons, a temporary pause on an overloaded schedule and a reintroduction of downtime, some of our biggest focus areas over the next few months will be to reduce credit card debt, add some money to our savings, and learn further ways to grow and maximize our surplus each month. Thanks for following us on our journey! Check out next week’s blog for more interesting tidbits!
