Finishing Home Improvement Projects and the Start of School

August 28, 2024 We've finished our school shopping and are ready for this week's start. My daughter is mostly excited. We've also enjoyed the end of summertime with laughs, movies, pool time and cooking. The carpet order is finally complete, and we'll await the arrival. There were wall-mounted shelves that collapsed in a closet (I kept academic books there.) I'm searching YouTube and calling my dad to help me repair the walls to minimize costs on this project. I'm strongly considering replacing it with actual bookshelves. After the home improvement projects, I should be on target to address my target goals.My dissertation writing has slowed but for good reason – quality family time! I'll begin writing again in the coming days.I'm still stressed but just trying to take care of elephants in the room (home improvement projects). Setting financial goals has been a grounding practice for me. This week... Everything is going well! For some reason, I thought the end of December was the end of the program. Nonetheless, I've gotten my credit card payments back... This has been a trying experience, but I have direction for moving forward. I really appreciate Marco making time to meet and being flexible... This week has been great overall. I'm getting closer to receiving payment for work that I've completed this year! I'm so very happy that things are finally... We're back from Ohio, and it was such a great time. Brielle learned to play checkers and received her holiday money from my uncle. Travel costs were $83... Surgery is done and went quite well. I am home. I am a little sore, but I am doing great... I'm preparing for a procedure on Thursday. We only ate out twice last week! Yippee! I'm really trying to improve our meal planning given the status of... Surgery prep: This week I'm preparing for surgery next week if all the conditions are right. I'll be resting for a few days after and then gradually begin... This week has been okay. Credit card debt and medical bills are my current focus. I think I could continue to monitor the amount that we spend on eating...
