Calculate Insurance Needs
I made my final car payment just a few days ago, so here's to progress! I still have my credit cards and medical bills looming, but I hope to make progress on those now that the car is paid off! I'll use the snowball method going forward to pay down these bills. To my financial coach Marco, I’m still working on the things I've noted from our conversations. Last month, I couldn't really focus on too much more than my health and required house projects. I'm embarrassed to take a picture of my living room because things have been under construction for so long. The carpet will be finished tomorrow, and the bookcases are not quite complete. But they have certainly progressed from the time right after the bookshelves collapsed.I'm hoping to have a breather this weekend to try and put things back together and send documents to my coach. It's been a very interesting time. I return to the doctor to complete blood work again to determine next steps. I know there has been progress because I am feeling better. It was such a scary experience, but the nurses and doctors have been so helpful and kind. I am pretty sure my last Project Money interview looks very unlike me: I didn't know the extent of my body's functioning! Just thankful there's progress! It's a busy time. I had not been working or my finances to focus on my health. Now, I'm refocusing and working diligently to get my dissertation writing done. My goal remains the same: reduce debt, increase savings and graduate in the spring. I had some catchy “DDD” statement: debt, dissertation and something else – I should find my notes.Brielle's participating in volleyball, and the team has improved tremendously over the last several weeks. Seeing their growth allows me to maintain perspective with healing and finances. In life there are processes. They don't all come together at once, but if we keep working at them, we will certainly experience a difference.
