This week, we are traveling for a work meeting and to visit family. I don't usually plan a trip budget. I did not do it this time either. However, I began this Project Money journey wanting to reflect on my own established money behavior habits. From there, I’ll be able to begin to identify areas to improve. My next business trip will include a personal money budget as well. I see so many ways to grow financially, and I see why I have been in survival mode for a while. I've adopted some bad habits, but I'm happy to recognize my behavior and make changes to shift my financial position. I'm excited to continue this journey. The other important point I've learned this week from my financial coach is that bill pay is not always your friend. My next set of bills will be paid without using bill pay, so as I have available funds, then I can make additional payments as opposed to waiting for the next billing cycle. Stay tuned for more on the behaviors I have recognized and the strategies to address them on my journey to develop better money management behaviors.
