Another Week... Thinking About the Transition

July 31, 2024 Back to school is quickly approaching. We've completed some back-to-school shopping and winter wardrobe refresh. This week, I'm hoping to pay off medical bills and my car loan and significantly decrease my credit card debt. I'll be over halfway to significantly decreasing my debt. I'm hoping by September, I can begin saving and determine my student loan payment amount as I work toward completing my dissertation. I believe I can feasibly balance my monthly expenses, savings and student loan payment! I'll revisit to provide an update but cheers to a lofty plan. I've experienced frustration and exacerbation during this process, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.My income shifts a bit as I am unable to work side hustles – my dissertation will consume that time. I've had success this summer with writing in designated windows; perhaps that will continue to be a strategy during the school year. The Summit budgeting tools are helping create a clearer picture. I'm still navigating the rhythm of tracking, but it's great learning about resources available.Nonetheless, I don't want to look too far ahead and remain realistic with my expectations. I can do this, and you can too! It's the reason I Summit!
