Questions? We're Here to Help.
As we continue our Project Money journey, we’ve been thinking more about the little changes we can make in our everyday lives to help us save money. Groceries seem like a good place to start as it’s one of the biggest expenses for our family that seems to keep growing. While food is obviously a necessity, there are still ways we can be more intentional about how we spend our money. One thing we want to work on is planning our meals before heading to the grocery store. Having a plan can help us avoid buying things we don’t need, wasting food we already have and making extra trips to the store for forgotten items (and end up with unnecessary things). We also want to get better about using what we already have in our pantry and freezer before buying more because we have so much that we waste every week. The goal isn’t to make things harder for ourselves or sacrifice the foods our family enjoys. It’s about finding small, realistic ways to save without adding more stress to our daily lives.Project Money has been a good reminder that saving money doesn’t always require huge changes. Sometimes, it starts with the everyday choices we make and being a little more mindful of where our money goes. If we can make a few small changes to our grocery habits, hopefully those savings will add up over time.
