What a week! There were so many appointments on the schedule this week – some beer stuff, Barley’s Angels and Project Money things! This week was what I needed to let go of a breath that I didn’t know I was holding. Summers are generally busy for everyone, but this summer has been extraordinarily busy for me.First off, I’m super thrilled to announce that I was selected as an Officer for the Board of Directors for the New Barons Brewing Co-op! It’s still a little surreal. I have been campaigning for a couple of months with the elections ending on July 26. I’m not only thrilled at the learning opportunity this will bring but I am also excited to help New Barons as they explore new opportunities. There were so many qualified candidates; I am truly honored that I was selected.I am also super excited to see the interview that WKOW did of my dog Willow and me for Project Money. I was pressed for time when they arrived, but I was able to get mostly ready for the interview prior to their arrival. It’s always a nerve-racking experience though. I hope I did alright; I felt like most of the time when I was talking, I was just rambling. I don’t know why once there is a camera in my face, I forget how to answer the questions presented to me. Sunday was my Barley’s Angels event at the Milwaukee Brewfest! They had a fantastic crowd this year and I was so excited to have the opportunity to serve beer in the VIP tent and have a booth! We made contact with lots of guests and talked to them about future events coming up. All in all, it was a busy but great week! I can’t wait to see how the rest of this summer ends up going.
