May 21, 2026 MADISON, Wis. - Summit Credit Union welcomed thousands of members and their families to Warner Park for its annual Summit Fest, blending its official Annual Meeting of the Membership with a day of appreciation, connection and community celebration.Held at the home of the Madison Mallards, Summit Fest brought together nearly 2,000 members to enjoy food, family activities and live entertainment while also hearing updates on the organization’s impact.“Summit Fest is one of our favorite traditions because it brings our cooperative to life,” said Kim Sponem, CEO and President of Summit Credit Union. “It’s a time to celebrate our members, share the progress we’ve made together over the past year and thank them for being part of something bigger. Because at Summit, our members are owners, and everything we do is designed to help them achieve financial security.”During the annual meeting, Summit leaders highlighted strong performance in 2025, two decades of its targeted focus on serving women, as well as its 90th anniversary. From expanding access to homeownership and small business lending to delivering meaningful value through member returns and financial education, Summit emphasized the tangible benefits of its cooperative difference where profits are reinvested to serve members and communities, not shareholders.Following the meeting, the event shifted into celebration mode, with members and their families enjoying a wide range of activities, including games, obstacle courses, face painting and a petting zoo. Attendees also enjoyed live music from Primal Rate, Summit’s employee band, creating a true Madison experience. The partnership with the Madison Mallards once again provided a welcoming setting, reinforcing Summit’s deep roots in the community and commitment to creating memorable member experiences.“Summit Fest reflects who we are – a financial cooperative grounded in the credit union principle of people helping people,” Sponem added. “We’re proud of what we accomplished in 2025, and excited about what’s ahead as we evolve to meet our members’ needs.”
