Summit Credit Union Awarded on the Forbes America’s Best-in-State Credit Unions 2025

August 28, 2025 Madison, Wisc. – Summit Credit Union, a member-owned financial cooperative, has been awarded on the Forbes list of America’s Best-In-State Credit Unions 2025. “At the heart of everything we do, is a commitment to make money management easy, effective and fun for our members. We are pleased Forbes again awarded Summit as one of the best credit unions in Wisconsin, because the recognition reflects members’ experience and confidence in our service and expertise,” said Summit Credit Union CEO & President Kim Sponem. “We proudly share this honor with our member-owners, our hard-working employees and the communities that make our work so meaningful.” The ranking is based on two sources:
  1. An Independent Survey: Approximately 26,000 U.S. residents were surveyed online. Participants were asked to name all credit unions where they have a checking/savings account and rate the credit unions in six different subdimensions: Trust, Terms & Conditions, Branch Services, Digital Services, Customer Services, and Financial Advice.
  2. Publicly Available Reviews: For each credit union in each state, a sentiment analysis approach of publicly available online text reviews and ratings was applied.
In each state, credit unions with the highest combined score from the analysis of survey results and publicly available reviews are awarded. The survey score was rated 80% and publicly available reviews 20%.This prestigious award is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., a statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The awards list can be viewed on the Forbes website
