Summit Credit Union’s Heidi Duss Honored By Wisconsin Lgbt Chamber Of Commerce

October 1, 2019 Advocate of the Year award recognizes excellence for advocacy in inclusion, diversityMADISON, Wis.— Heidi Duss, Summit Credit Union’s manager of diversity and inclusion, wellness and community engagement, was recognized by the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce Wednesday night for her advocacy for inclusion within the larger business community. Duss was presented with the Advocate of the Year award at the chamber’s annual Business Awards and Showcase in Milwaukee.“At Summit Credit Union, creating a space where everyone feels welcome, comfortable and supported is very important to who we are,” said Summit CEO & President Kim Sponem. “We are very proud of Heidi’s efforts to advocate for diversity and inclusion not just at Summit, but in local businesses and the community as a whole.”Duss was presented the chamber’s Advocate of the Year award in recognition of her ongoing work supporting and organizing a diverse business community throughout the state. An active participant in the chamber’s Leadership Council and LGBT Workplace Alliance, she has demonstrated a commitment to creating change and promoting inclusion at Summit and throughout the community altogether.The Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce is an organization of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and LGBT-allied businesses, corporations, and professionals throughout Wisconsin. The organization’s annual business awards recognize contributions by chamber members to building a strong, pro-fairness business community in the state.
