This week, student loans are all over the news as the Biden Administration began to roll out its Plan B for loan forgiveness. I have not had to think about my loans for the past three years, but I knew that they were always looming out there in space. I have to tell you, twenty years ago I did not visualize stressing over my student loan debt while getting ready to support our daughter through her first year of college all at the same time. As far as having any portion of my loans forgiven, the status of that remains to be seen, and it could be months before I get an update from my loan servicer. We do know that we don’t want to tackle this important issue alone and plan to reach out for professional help. Project Money has taught us to take advantage of all resources available in the community and to be proactive when we need guidance. For us, that means setting up a meeting with a tax advisor and working closely with our Summit coach throughout the process. If this project has taught us anything, it is that you don’t have to go it alone, and we want others facing similar issues to know that!In other news, Travis and I recorded our first Project Money segment this week and learned a bit about how to give an interview on camera. We are excited to take the next step in sharing our story with you, and you may be able to catch us on primetime! Have a good week!~K & T
