It’s Go Time!

September 27, 2023 It’s official – student loan repayments have begun. A couple weeks ago, I talked about student loan payments and the options I was exploring. I got an email from the Department of Education with my official monthly payment starting October 1. I’m not stressing about it because it’s not a huge amount and I know I would have to make these payments either way. I was proactive and shifted some other bills around and lowered a few other payments, which now can go towards my student loans. I have to look more into the “SAVE” plan I applied for since I didn’t hear back if I was approved. My plan is to make the required number of qualifying payments and then apply for the public service loan forgiveness (PSLF). All in all, I am still following the same plan I talked about a couple of weeks ago but now it is in action and part of my reality and responsibilities.
