Questions? We're Here to Help.
I’ve started developing the habit of comparing prices for both basic necessities and other everyday consumer products. Before, I never stopped to think about how important it was to do a little research before going shopping. Now I can clearly see the difference this small habit has made to my finances.I also used to frequently visit thrift stores just for entertainment. I often spent money on items and clothing that I did not really need. I’m proud to share I have stopped doing that!My financial coach recommended a 0% APR (Annual Percentage Rate) balance transfer plan to help me pay off my total credit card balance. We worked through the process together, and I was ultimately able to get a new credit card with lower payments and no interest for one year. She also gave me good advice not to close my existing credit card because doing so could negatively affect my credit.Together, we also explored how changing my primary bank account type could help me reduce maintenance fees and other account charges. I had no clue that different bank accounts offered different benefits and fee structures. Project Money has benefited me so much. I had no idea that anything like this existed within the financial system. This program has helped me better understand how financial services work and how retirement savings function. It’s given me the foundation to create an emergency savings fund and a monthly budget. We’ve even started talking about how I might invest in the stock market and potentially create passive income streams to increase my earnings. I’m excited to continue exploring other tools to support my financial goals!
