Questions? We're Here to Help.
Usually, when I went shopping for necessities, I would always end up buying things not on my list. This created a constant impulse to consume and spend my money without much control. Many times, I spent money on items I thought would be useful in the future but never ended up using, or on projects that I never completed.I would also compulsively buy shoes or clothing simply because they were on sale. This drained my account unnecessarily and led to an excessive amount of clothes and shoes sitting in my closet, waiting to be worn for a special occasion. Now, I strictly make a list of what I need so I buy only what is on my list and stick to what I have written down. When buying food, I purchase only the portions I know I will consume. I have developed a greater awareness of what I am buying. When I feel tempted to buy something simply to stock up, I leave it on the shelf. To continue making progress in my everyday life, I have completely stopped buying breakfast away from home. I no longer stop for coffee or matcha. Instead, I prepare my own breakfast, coffee or matcha at home. I invested in a thermal travel mug so I can take my drinks with me wherever I go.I also prepare my own lunches and organize them in my refrigerator, so they are fresh and ready to take to work. Everything I consume is based on my monthly plan and the shopping lists I prepare. This includes items I purchase regularly, such as supplements. My entire Project Money experience has given me great satisfaction carefully reviewing my bank account each month, increasing my awareness of how I manage and protect my money. I have become much more intentional about the groceries and necessities I purchase. And by preparing everything at home, I am eating foods that are less processed, helping me maintain a balanced and healthy diet. And, of course, the most rewarding part of this entire process is proudly seeing that my account balance remains stable and under control. I truly believe this entire process has been a beautiful journey of personal growth!
