Small Steps, Big Progress: Our Project Money Journey So Far
July 9, 2026

As our journey with the Project Money program has just begun, we’ve already made some small accomplishments since starting in June! We have paid off a few small debts, and we’re so excited that this project has motivated us to make progress so quickly. Having those extra funds available after paying off those debts has also allowed us to set aside more money in savings. Even though it may seem like a small amount, we know that every dollar adds up over time. Now that the program is underway, we feel like it has given us the extra push we needed to tackle things we had been stressing about or putting off before having a coach. One of the biggest realizations has been seeing just how much unnecessary daily and weekly spending can add up. Honestly, that has been the hardest part. We’re learning to balance wanting to have fun with asking ourselves, “Do we really need to buy this?” In reality, we often don’t need those extra purchases. The good news is that we can still have plenty of fun without overspending. As I’ve mentioned before, we’re truly excited to be participating in this project and have really embraced the coaching aspect of the program. While it can be challenging at times to balance wants and needs, we’re taking it one week at a time. We’re looking forward to continuing our progress and seeing where this journey takes us.Stay tuned!
