Home Is Where The Bills Get Sent

December 21, 2022 And where the heart is, of course…This week has been so trying. We are all recovering (slowly) from the flu that hit us HARD. Dominique and Megan both missed a ton of work and there was no end to unpacking in sight. Having to put unpacking on hold immediately after our move was really hard for us, it also made it really hard to cook at home and save money on take-out. We did not do well with that budget item this week once again, but we have been working on getting unpacked as we feel better. As this journey comes to an end we are feeling still a bit in shock and immensely blessed. We were able to accomplish all of our goals we set out for and much more than that, we have a changed mindset about money and how we can take control of our financial situation. We are feeling financially FREE.We are rid of piles of credit card debt, huge and predatory personal loans, and we are moving towards having generational wealth for our young children. We feel like the three strongest outcomes from Project Money that will help us in our future are:
  1. Growing our credit scores over 100 points each
  2. Eliminating large balances on all of our credit cards
  3. Buying our first home
We are so grateful for the amazing Project Money team at Summit, our financial coach Jessica, Cornerstone Home Lending, Megan’s sister, Marta, and Megan’s father, Lupe, who all contributed to our success. Family support is all KEY to financial success and we are grateful we had that, and it doesn’t have to be monetary. We cashed in a lot of childcare chips in order to save money on childcare costs, which helped us to eliminate debt. We are so thankful for everyone who followed along on this journey and watched our commercials and read this amazing blog. We hope this inspires others to do the same and to take the step to become financially free!
