Fall Into Savings

August 31, 2022 We have been busy bees this summer running around to different events, birthday parties, family outings, amongst other things. We are now gearing up for back to school and had to plan for a lot of expenses from school supplies to new clothes for both of our children. As fall approaches, we are hoping that as events are less frequent and as we find plans for inexpensive family fun, we can have a concrete savings plan. We are hoping to have a down payment fund for a house, an emergency fun, investments, and savings all as priorities moving forward. We are grateful we were able to refinance a high-interest personal loan with Summit so we can save greatly on interest and lower our monthly payment. We are hoping to put that savings towards one of our funds. There are so many things to plan for in the future and when you move away from focusing only on surviving and when you learn how to make your money work for you, you can create a savings plan that will help you thrive. We are feeling closer and closer to our goals every day and are thankful for this opportunity and experience. It has taught us SO MUCH in just a few short months. As the summer comes to an end, we can look back on it and feel no regrets, we only feel pride that we have been taking the necessary steps to become financially free. The big concert we sold our tickets to put towards household expenses was last Saturday and even though we feel a little bit of FOMO, we mostly feel proud. Thanks for following along!
