Calculate Insurance Needs
Wow, how did October get here so quickly? Time flies when you’re having fun (and saving money!). The school year has been going well for our third grader and we have had to plan for expenses like autumn trips to the apple orchard and the book fair. We have also started to plan for our youngest to start childcare next fall. Although that was a conversation that started to make us feel a bit anxious because it is another high-cost expense every month, we were able to look at our projected expenses for 2023 and felt comfortable with where we will be and have learned how to plan better through this process. We are hoping that with the savings plan we have been implementing, we can find have ample savings for emergency expenses and other unplanned costs, so the weight of the childcare expense next year won’t feel so heavy. We are still in the closing phase of purchasing our new home and are feeling good. Being able to reach our goal of buying a home before Project Money ends is something we didn’t think was possible. We are grateful to Summit and our home lender for the support. Our inspection is happening tomorrow, and we are hoping for a good report. We are now started to plan for moving costs and everything else associated with buying a home. We are happy we now have the tools to better plan for things like this.Cheers to this next journey!
